ioLoop Community Guidelines

Effective date: October 28, 2026
The ioLoop community at https://community.ioloop.com is a place to learn, ask questions, share projects, exchange ideas, and help other builders. Tvara LLC hosts and operates the community.
These Guidelines supplement the ioLoop Terms of Service and Platform Rules. The Platform Rules apply fully to community activity. If these Guidelines conflict with the Terms or Platform Rules, the Terms and Platform Rules control.

1. Be Constructive and Respectful

  • Discuss ideas without attacking people.
  • Welcome users with different experience levels and backgrounds.
  • Give specific, useful feedback.
  • Do not harass, bully, threaten, shame, or organize abuse against others.
  • Do not use hateful or discriminatory language or imagery.
  • Respect reasonable requests to stop unwanted contact.
Disagreement is welcome. Personal abuse is not.

2. Keep Discussions Useful

  • Post in the most relevant category.
  • Use clear titles and provide enough context for others to help.
  • Search for an existing discussion before creating a duplicate.
  • Keep replies reasonably related to the topic.
  • Do not repeatedly bump, cross-post, or derail discussions.
  • When sharing code or technical instructions, explain important risks and assumptions.

3. Protect Privacy and Security

Do not post:
  • passwords, API keys, OAuth tokens, session identifiers, or private credentials;
  • private customer or End User data;
  • private communications without permission;
  • another person’s home address, phone number, financial information, government identifier, or other sensitive information; or
  • instructions or data intended to compromise an account, project, system, or person.
Remove secrets and personal information from code, screenshots, logs, and error messages before posting. If you discover a security issue affecting ioLoop, report it privately to [email protected] instead of posting exploit details publicly.

4. Share Only What You Have the Right to Share

Respect copyright, trademarks, licenses, confidentiality obligations, and privacy rights. Attribute sources where appropriate. Do not post proprietary code, paid content, leaked material, or another person’s work without authorization.

5. No Spam or Manipulation

Do not:
  • post unsolicited advertisements or repetitive promotions;
  • use affiliate, referral, or tracking links without clear disclosure and moderator permission;
  • buy, sell, or artificially manipulate likes, replies, reputation, or engagement;
  • impersonate another person, company, or ioLoop staff member;
  • use deceptive titles or links; or
  • automate posting, messaging, scraping, or account creation without written permission.
You may share a relevant project, service, event, or job opportunity when it genuinely contributes to the discussion and you clearly disclose your connection to it.

6. Keep Content Safe and Lawful

Do not post content that is illegal, sexually exploitative, pornographic, graphically violent, fraudulent, malicious, or intended to facilitate wrongdoing. Child sexual exploitation material and non-consensual intimate material are prohibited without exception and may be reported to authorities.
Responsible educational, documentary, artistic, and security discussions may be allowed when they are appropriately framed and do not meaningfully enable harm.

7. AI-Generated Contributions

You may use AI tools to help prepare a post, but you remain responsible for it.
  • Verify technical claims, code, citations, and links.
  • Do not flood the community with low-effort generated content.
  • Disclose material AI assistance when failing to do so could mislead readers.
  • Never use AI to impersonate others, fabricate evidence, or evade moderation.

8. Project Sharing and Support

When asking for help:
  • provide the smallest example that reproduces the issue;
  • describe what you expected and what happened;
  • redact secrets and personal data;
  • identify relevant versions or environments; and
  • follow up when a proposed solution works.
When sharing a project, explain its purpose and disclose material limitations or risks. Community feedback does not constitute professional legal, security, medical, or financial advice.

9. Moderation

Tvara’s moderators may edit titles or formatting, move or close topics, remove content, limit posting, issue warnings, suspend accounts, or permanently remove users to protect the community and enforce these Guidelines.
Moderation decisions consider context, severity, intent, history, and risk. Urgent safety, security, legal, or abuse issues may be handled without advance notice. Attempts to evade moderation may lead to additional restrictions.
Moderators are not required to mediate private business, ownership, employment, or contractual disputes between users.

10. Reporting and Appeals

Use the forum’s reporting tools to flag content for moderator review. For urgent safety, privacy, security, or legal concerns, email [email protected] and include the relevant URL and a concise explanation.
If you believe a moderation action was a mistake, send one good-faith appeal to [email protected]. Include your community username, the affected post or topic, and why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Repeated or abusive appeals may not receive a response.

11. Changes

We may update these Guidelines as the community evolves. The current version will be available at https://ioloop.com/community-guidelines. Continued participation after an update takes effect means you agree to follow the updated Guidelines.
